Well I have now made an attempt to customise this blog a little bit. I think that the customisation options are rather limited. I wanted to have my velvet chair image as a background to the entire blog as I do on other sites like youtube or twitter, but I can’t find a way to do it. I would even like to have a little avatar of my ugly mug, but it is apparently not to be. Could just be a learning curve though. Avatar is one of those words you just simply wouldn’t have heard fifteen or twenty years ago. TTFN.

It is difficult for me to imagine that anyone would necessarily have any interest whatsoever in what I may end up writing. Perhaps the way to go would be to tell some stories from my long life; I am surely at least half way through it already. Perhaps the stories of Paris, Brussels, Karlsruhe, Mainz or Zuerich might hold a bit of interest for someone. Maybe my opinions on matters technological might interest others or perhaps the same folk. Perhaps character sketches of some of the mad crazy people I have met over the years. Maybe I will just end up writing to no-one. Why not write to no-one – more chance of it being read than if I just think of it in my little old head. I could just look at it as practice for touch typing! Enough for today. Got to think of an alternative to “perhaps”.
So I have worked out the categories. Also I have worked out how to navigate the dashboard (I think).
I don’t yet know what impact the categories will have on the end effect, but we shall see. As for getting readers, I guess it is a question of getting the ball rolling. Now I just need to work out how to get that ball rolling.
